Christianity has suffered great upheavals throughout its early history. Examples include the historical persecutions from Rome and Jewish temple cults during the first four centuries, then within its own nascent growth, internal corruption and finally the Islamic violence that arose shortly after the Christian development of the Nicene Creed in 325 A.D.

 In the early years of the 7^th Century, the Islamic faith developed out of Medina and Mecca in the Sinai Peninsula. The ancient Muslim faith expression consists even now of a distorted legal code derived from ancient Semitic cultures. Islamic law called Sharia, includes adaptations of the Jewish Old Testament and Zoroastrianism began through the con-man antics of the self-proclaimed Prophet Mohammed. His forming of the Koran, seen as historically recorded in several forms, delineated acceptable faith expressions and cultural behaviors. The religion considers non-believers as corrupt and resistant to Allah, their god.

“Let not the unbelievers think that our respite to them is good for themselves. We grant them respite that they may grow in their iniquity. But they will have a shameful punishment.” (Koran 3:178)

Understanding Christian Challenges Within Modern American Society

The Islamic religion is armored with legalisms and concentrated forms of violence toward unbelievers from their god and themselves.

 Islam rapidly spread northward into lands ruled by 7th Century Jewish tribes, whom they consider a paramount enemy allied with Christians as the “People of the Book”. The new faith expression promoted many aggressive battle mandates favoring plunder and captivity. Victory meant richness and sexual gratifications for Muslim warriors. The impetus of this demonic foundation eventually gained for raging Muslims included large amounts of territory in the Levant, Syria, Africa and Spain. Conquered peoples such as Christians were given the choice to either become Muslim adherents themselves, remain in their faith and pay tributes, or suffer death. We read…

 A thorough study of formative Muslim years has been made recently available in two informative books, the first entitled “The Sword and Scimitar” and second named, “The Two Swords of Christ”. Both are written by noted author Dr. Raymond Ibraham, who is an authority of Coptic descent. The books give us an in-depth understanding of the Christian-Muslim struggle up to the beginning years of Protestantism. Within his pages, we find an astounding record of terror and mayhem that threatened and burned the doors of European churches.
