decisions. Additionally, I want to elect those persons who promote proper social care for infants, orphans and the elderly. In the same way, we should choose about such issues as healthcare, gun control, prayer in schools, border security and more. Complex? Yes! Impossible? No! As scripture reveals… with God all things are certainly possible.

 Knowing our finitude, however, also know that I may only get agreement from a candidate on most issues, with minor differences. However, the shortfall should not hinder my voting! All persons are by nature sinful and we yet live in an imperfect world, but as we breathe God is not finished with any of us… even political candidates. Pray and vote!

 Finally, I strongly back those candidates who support absolute freedom for religious expression. The Christian church is called to be the presence of God working amid our nation to build up and maintain proper and precious freedoms. However, there are powers that would silence our voices. In such stance, even as clergy I advocate a strong military for this land. As a nation operating in a sinful world, with many harmful and competing political and religious forces, we know that some powers surely work demonically in these last days. It may only be the vigilance of our military that allows us to persist amid these harmful nations as a free people. In this spirit of freedom, I also oppose such atrocities against our military as minimum wage hikes that insult our warriors by their receiving of sub-standard recompense.

 Therefore with these items mentioned and many other important issues before our government, you may rightly agree that we Christians need to participate. In prayer and supplication before our God, as a Christian and American, I ask you to please… participate heartily in our political process from pulpit and voting booth.

 May the peace of God which surpasses all human understanding… keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, our Lord.  Amen
