MANY SOCIAL disturbances made the news recently. Among them were the “No Kings” demonstrations that have occurred in various cities across the United States. Each of these marches heightens an awareness of the underlying influences of clandestine powers. Especially conservative Christians living within or near the occasion of these outbreaks must take note of these demonic forces. Within media video coverage of the events, we noted a historically familiar insignia. In particular, the hammer and sickle symbol of the Communist party flew unapologetically. This happened while various Americans, who were mostly white, liberal middle class… marched in a pattern loosely copying the socialist arm band rhythm of the 1930s. These chilling, eye-catching reminders should give pause to any clergyperson or laity who understands the dangers of rampant socialism. In our Allegany area, quotes that we gleaned from an article published on the “publicsource.org issue describe a widespread Pittsburgh event as part of… “a nationwide resistance movement against what organizers and participants deem an increasingly authoritarian government.” In investigation, the article noted that a singular group functioned as sponsor… “Indivisible Pittsburgh, a branch of the larger Indivisible group that organized the first “day of defiance” last June, organized the Pittsburgh demonstration in partnership with several other community groups, including 1Hood Power, Casa San José and Indivisible: Black Neighborhoods United, according to the group’s social media.” Beneath the auspices of this blanket group, signs and banners highlighting various social ills... real or perceived… were carried in Pittsburgh and outlying communities. Of important note for anyone having concern over the democratic American way of life, we highlight one particular contribution that may at first seem to a casual reader to be just a minor portion of the overall efforts.
