As example, we must realize that many of us have recently followed the Massachusetts trial of a mother who had admitted to murdering her three children. Though her admission of guilt is of court record, her disturbing trial for murder resulted without decision. The proceedings have been ruled as a mistrial. As a result, the woman’s legal status remains in limbo. In protest, I contend that the deaths of the three children stands boldly as a testament against our meager penultimate legalisms. Therefore, given that the legalities of the state not only cast aside the right to life of any unborn child, that state court’s jury majority ignored the same privilege for older children who were killed by their mentally disturbed parent. The occasion sets, therefore, a precedent that a workable excuse exists for child murder. This has already resulted in horrendous repercussions. Another child murder recently occurred in that same state after an additional mother viewed the results of that first trial’s stalemate. During the triple murder trial, it was revealed that the offending woman’s eldest child was five years old. This fact makes me ask whether there is actually an age limit for child murder? The legal fog now extant chills my soul like the initial trimester mandates assessed nationally for preborn embryos. This new distortion of God’s law I find as a further miscarriage of right judgment. I contend that if we as a nation continue down this hell-bent lane, we shall eventually lay as withering before demonic powers and be judged as wanting in the heavenly court. These ignorant most certainly steer us toward hell. Our land and its people will be just a footnote read in future generations. We began this decline by accepting watered-down pregnancy laws. We first gave way on the abortion question and deviated from God’s command concerning life, allowing the act in the time period from an infant’s conception until the end of the first pregnancy trimester. In adhering to this trimester biology for embryonic development, abortion champions muted any physician’s witness that life begins at conception. |
